We need volunteer "dealers" (all ages, especially kids) to man at least 5 docks or swim rafts, preferably spaced around the lake. Cards will be dealt to boats as they dock or do a close pass. Please watch out for swinging booms!

Rules:

All normal sailing right-of-way rules apply. Start from and return to your own dock.

Boats can have as many crew members as can be safely carried.

The boat closest to a dock gets first chance; other boats stand off until the dock is clear.

Attempts at docking are to be in the order boats arrive in the vicinity of the dock.

Visit docks in any order you like.

Swapping cards with other boats is frowned upon, but could be fun to watch.

Recommendation: Bring a zip lock bag with you and place your collected cards in that bag as you continue the Poker Run (reduce chance of the cards getting ruined !)

If more than 5 docks are participating, you can pick up more than 5 cards, but only 1 per dock (i.e. pick the best hand you have).

Participating docks should be clearly marked with flags or balloons or screaming kids. It’s up to the "dealers" to make themselves very visible.

Supersoakers may be used to fend off the competition, but should NOT be directed at  boats or card dealers not equipped with Supersoakers.  

ATTENTION: Any participant (racer, card dealer, etc.) with a supersoaker shall be considered fair game and may be fired upon without warning !!

Bring your collected cards to the FLA Family Picnic in a zip lock bag with your name on it and drop it off with the DJ.  The best hand will be determined and prize awarded at the FLA Family Picnic (representative of your sailing team has to be present at the picnic to win !)

Prizes to be awarded later that day, at the Fairview Lake picnic.

Family Picnic !

(Rain or Shine!)

There will be games and prizes so please come ready to have fun !

Main course will be provided !

Please Bring:

• Lawn chairs or blanket

• Eating utensils, napkins & plates for your family/friends

• Salad or side dish for 5X the number in your party
                    AND

• A dessert to go with ice cream

FLA will provide:

• DJ musical entertainment and games
